Nonstick Pan

I had been looking for a nonstick multiple use pan for a long time. Early 2011, I finally ordered this Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 3-Quart Chef's Pan with Cover from Amazon.com after days pan research. During my research, I checked out all the reviews online and targeted at a few probably best-fit items, and then visited Bed, Bath and Beyond store for a physical touch.

Overall, the reviews on Amazon.com about this pan are very helpful. All the positive responses are true. Unlike other steel pans, this one is very light-lifted and easy to hold with sturdy metal handle. Do not worry if you may get burn by the handle while the pot gets heat up. The heat transmission of the bottom is very fast and even which cooks food done with time and electricity saving. The best thing of the cover that comes along is that the sealed steam helps do fast work with some hard-fiber vegetables like Brussels sprouts and collar green. Due to the fast heat transmission, the power level may be down to medium or low. A special request for a steel pan is to preheat it prior to adding anything until the heat goes evenly through the pot. If you follow, then you will enjoy this stainless and nonstick pot. However, some cooking like omelet or stir-frying tofu is still not for it, but stir-frying bean curd or deep-frying tofu will work fine with it.

It is so easy to clean simply by sponge and soap or by water only. I am very lazy to scrub the pan. All I have done to clean it is just sponge and some soap. The bottom remains fine and will be perfect shiny if I scrub a bit. If you are tired of heavy duty, you will be happy to have it.

Little Monkey

Where had I been? Here is the answer. This smiling kid keeps me busy, busy and busy all these days. Since he was born, I start my sleepless life. At his one and half years old, he loved hanging on the kitchen counter like a naughty money.

His first step was made around nine and half months old and he walks perfectly after two weeks intensive practice. Later, when his good friend at the same age, Charlie, was just about to walk, my little money had been running, climbing, jumping and chasing big kids in the playground.

His first a few words were "ba," "shout," and "shoe." "Mom" came much later near his one year old birthday when he tried hard to get my attention in the kitchen. The first recognized three-word sentence was "What is that?" While he saw the guy installed the A/C in our apartment by using power drill, he made his first question and then he did not stop impressing us his lingual talent.

He makes my day and everyday very happy and loving, especially for these given kisses and hugs from my little money. He got me a brand new iPhone 4S, which I longed for this Christmas, by accidentally dropping my 3-year-old iPhone 3G into the toilet. Son, I do not know what to say about it, but thank you for the new phone. You know me the best and gave me a very good excuse to get iPhone 4S. Love you much.

Best chinese vegan cookbooks?

I have been away from the kitchen for a while (and away from my blog even longer), so I have been looking over some chinese vegan cookbooks for inspiration. Surprisingly, there seem to be few books on this topic. The ones I could find that are related are below. Does anyone have any recommendations for these cookbooks or others?
